SA Drivers face months-long wait as license card printing system grinds to a halt

VAAL TRIANGLE - Driver’s license applicants will need to wait months for their cards. This comes after a declaratory order application put a pause to the process of buying a new driving license card machine. According to the Department of Transport, there are 539,947 licenses that need to be printed. The delays in the license applications is a result of the country’s ageing license card printing system. BusinessTech says delays will carry on into the next year.
