SA Weather Service issues a Yellow Level 2 warning for thunderstorms

VAAL TRIANGLE - The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms in various areas, including the Vaal Triangle, Gauteng. The weather service says heavy rain, flooding, possible hail and strong winds can be expected in Gauteng, Mpumalanga and KZN. The service expects this to be valid for today from 12:00 until 23:00 tonight. This as the Johannesburg Emergency Management Services (EMS) and traffic police say they are on high alert, appealing for motorists to be extra vigilant on the roads, and to avoid low-lying areas prone to flooding.
