Sebokeng SAPS cracks down on liquor outlets violating National Liquor Act

SEBOKENG - The Sebokeng SAPS has issued a stern warning to all liquor outlet owners and managers to comply with the National Liquor Act or face serious legal consequences. SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said intensified inspections are underway to ensure full compliance. Key violations include trading outside legal hours of 10:00 AM to 02:00 AM, selling to minors or intoxicated persons, and operating without a valid liquor license. Liquor outlets must also remain weapon-free to ensure patron safety. Mochachane said non-compliance will not be tolerated and is urging traders to adhere to license conditions. The police call for cooperation from all liquor traders to help curb crime and create safer communities. SAPS will conduct random compliance checks and encourages public reporting of violations. Mokhachane emphasized this is about responsible business and community safety and urged the community to report illegal activity.
