Sedibeng SAPS investigating after bodies of two women found next to the R59

VEREENIGING - The Sedibeng SAPS has confirmed the death of two women whose bodies were found next to the R59 in a suspected hit-and-run last week. Police spokesperson, Captain Fikile Funda, yesterday told the 90.6 FM News Team that with police arrival on the scene on Thursday morning at around 6:45, they found the bodies of two African women lying next to each other. Funda said break marks were visible on the road. The bodies of the women, suspected to be in their early 30’s, showed head injuries and broken legs, while their shoes were scattered along the road. He said the SAPS is investigating a case of culpable homicide. The bodies of the two victims were transported to the Sebokeng Government Mortuary.
