Small businesses and households advised to look at a loan scheme for solar power.

VAAL TRIANGLE - National Treasury calls on small businesses and households in the Vaal Triangle and rest of South Africa to take advantage of a new loan scheme aimed at facilitating the transition to solar power. The scheme runs until August next year and supports the installation of solar rooftops, batteries, inverters, and related costs. Small and medium enterprises with a maximum turnover of R300-million are eligible for loans of up to ten-million-rand, while households can access up to R300,000. The initiative is part of government’s strategy to address the ongoing power crisis by alleviating strain on the power grid.
