Suspects sought for the murder of two males

SASOLBURG - The Zamdela SAPS is investigating the murder of two shepherds at the Zamdela kraals in Sasolburg near the R549. On Wednesday morning, 23 April 2025, at about 09:00, Zamdela police responded to a shooting complaint and upon arrival, officers found the bodies of two males, aged between 25 and 35, inside separate shacks. Both victims, believed to be Lesotho nationals, had sustained fatal upper body injuries and were declared dead by emergency services. Preliminary investigations revealed that approximately 23 sheep and 25 goats, valued at around R150 000, were stolen during the incident. The Serious Violent Crime, Murder, and Robbery Unit is spearheading the investigation. Police are appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the suspects involved by contacting the Zamdela SAPS, call Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or submit tips via the MySAPS App. All information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality.
