The DA demands Emfuleni Local Municipality’s senior accountant being investigated.

VANDERBIJPARK - The DA in Gauteng is demanding that the provincial MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Mzi Khumalo, urgently investigate Emfuleni Local Municipality’s senior accountant. Petrus Phosisi has been paid an annual salary of R784,000 for four years while sitting at home. The DA’s Kingsol Chabalala says Phosisi has pocketed R3,1-million from the municipality since 2019, while residents suffer from a severe lack of service delivery.
