The Department of Home Affairs is extending its operating hours

VAAL TRIANGLE - Vaal Triangle and other SA residents will now have easier access to Home Affairs offices. The Department of Home Affairs is extending operating hours for identity card collection to streamline service delivery. On Saturday offices will be open from 8 AM to 1 PM exclusively for the collection of smart identity cards and passports. To alleviate queues, dedicated counters have been introduced and clients can now book collection appointments online. During the voter registration weekend on 18 and 19 November, Home Affairs will align its operating hours with the Independent Electoral Commission to ensure citizens have their critical identification documents before the elections next year.
