VAAL TRIANGLE - Freedom Front Plus leader Pieter Groenewald says it is clear that criminality has taken root in the police service. This comes as Police minister Bheki Cele has revealed to the party that 5,489 police members have been arrested for criminal offences since the 2019/2020 financial year. Of that number of arrested officials, 383 were due to serious crimes such as murder, rape and livestock theft. Groenewald says the law must take its course in cases where police officials made transgressions.
