SASOLBURG - The Metsimaholo Local Municipality informed residents of Sasolburg and surrounding areas, that due to the cold weather conditions, electricity supply might be affected in the area. During cold weather, the demand for electricity increases as residents use electric heaters, heat pumps, and other heating devices to stay warm. This surge in demand can strain the electrical grid of the municipality, especially during peak usage times, leading to potential overloads and affects electricity supply. The municipality urge and advise all residents to treat electrical devices as live at all times. The municipality apologized for the inconvenience.
