The SAPS launched a manhunt for a suspect in an alleged rape incident in Walkerville.

WALKERVILLE - The SAPS has released an identikit of a person that is sought in connection with an alleged rape incident which happened on 6 September. Police spokesperson Captain Fikile Funda says the victim reported that she was approached by the man while walking to work along 07 Apple Orchards in Walkerville. The unknown man allegedly threathed her by showing her a pistol on his hip and took her to nearby bushes, where he allegedly raped her. According to Funda, the suspect vanished after telling the victim to walk without looking back. Anyone who might know the man is asked to contact the nearest police station or the investigating officer Constable Brummer on 073 079 1467.
