There are only a few days left for South Africans to submit their tax returns.

VAAL TRIANGLE - There are only a few days left before the deadline for South Africans to submit their tax returns. The deadline for submitting returns is this coming Monday, the 23rd of October. Provisional taxpayers have until January 24 next year. The South African Revenue Service says taxpayers are increasingly using the electronic method to submit their tax returns. SARS says more than three million taxpayers received an automatic assessment for the past tax year, while more than a million people submitted their returns electronically. About 250,000 taxpayers physically went to an office of the Revenue Service to submit their returns. The commissioner of SARS, Eward Kieswetter, says they would like to see the queues at offices get shorter.
