VAAL TRIANGLE - Over 10,000 babies are reportedly abandoned in South Africa annually, with a significant majority found dead. This is according to a national coalition of organisations dedicated to ending unsafe infant abandonment, Baby Savers South Africa. Founder of Grace Baby Haven, Justin Grobler, labels the statistics as shocking. He told SABC News funding is also a critical issue for organisations that assist in taking care of abandoned infants.
