VAAL MARINA - An accident on the R54 near Vaal Marina has claimed the lives of three police officers and a minibus taxi driver. Reports indicate that a head-on collision between a SAPS vehicle and the minibus occurred. Following the impact, the minibus burst into flames, which rapidly spread to the police vehicle. Both vehicles were completely engulfed in the fire, leaving no chance for survival. Emergency services declared all four individuals deceased on the scene. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. Traffic officials have urged motorists to exercise road safety, particularly during the holiday season.
