Two arrested after a chase through SE 7 in Vanderbjilpark

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark Sector 3 CPF says two suspects were arrested after a chase through the SE 7 area just before the long weekend. The CPF said on Thursday evening, Sector 3 patrollers with SAPS members were conducting a high visibility Operation around crime hotspots in Sector 3. Members received information of a suspicious vehicle in SE 7 and the description fitted to a vehicle possibly involved in previous crimes committed in the area. Additional SAPS members were mobilized and they came across the mentioned vehicle. When members tried to conduct a stop and search, the suspects’ vehicle chased away. After a short chase through SE 7 into SE 6, the suspects’ vehicle lost control and collided with a residence gate. SAPS members managed to detain two occupants and after followup it was established that the vehicle was positively wanted. Suspects were arrested and follow up investigation is ongoing. They will be detained on multiple charges.
