Vanderbijlpark SAPS hosts a Prestigious Awards Ceremony

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS last week hosted their Prestigious Awards Ceremony to honour the men and women in blue at the local police station for their bravery and dedication. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Sabelo Sigcu, on Friday said in a statement sent to 90.6 FM News, the ceremony was held at the Emerald Casino for their members who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. He says the nominated members were given certificates of appreciation and trophies, and “were also showered with gifts.” According to Sigcu, the event was attended by SAPS management, Vanderbiljpark businesses owners and sponsors who made the day successful. Major General Kekana, Brigadier Sefatsa, Brigadier Ndaba, Brigadier Tsotsotso and senior officers also attended along with esteemed guests, Bishop Sekete and Mrs Sekete. General Kekana applauded the members who were nominated and also encouraged other members to follow the drill. Brigadier Sefatsa also applauded the nominated members and promised to carry on giving credit where credit is due.
