VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS has issued a warning that they are seeing a rise in house break-in cases in Vanderbijlpark and Bophelong areas. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Sabelo Sigcu, said in a statement sent to 90.6 FM News that the criminals allegedly roam around target areas with different vehicles during the day, scouting houses with no one inside their yards, and monitoring when occupants are not home. Sigcu said after observing their targets for some time, they strike. He advised residents to keep the doors and windows of their houses properly closed at all times, even when no one is home. He also encouraged residents to immediately report any unknown motor vehicles that they spot roaming around their neighbourhoods.
