VEREENIGING - The Vereeniging SAPS has republished a notice from August this year, confirming that their land line telephones are still out of order. Police spokesperson, Captain Fikile Funda, yesterday asked the 90.6 FM News Team to submit the notice again. In the initial notice, Funda said the Vereeniging police station, on the corner of Voortrekker and Stanley Avenues, is undergoing renovations. Therefore, the telephone land lines are not functional until further notice. Funda said management of the station would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this. He said community and other stakeholders that want to access the station, can do so by contacting the Station commander on 082 412 5766; the Visible policing commander on 079 527 3904; the Detective commander on 082 778 5945; or the Community service centre commander on 082 558 2348.
