Vereeniging’s Armand Swart Among victims in DJ Sumbody Murder Case

VEREENIGING - The Alexandra Magistrate’s Court has postponed the case against four men accused of murdering Oupa Sefoka, popularly known as DJ Sumbody.

Among them is alleged mastermind Katiso "KT" Molefe, whose bail application has been postponed to August 6. The case resumes on September 18 for further investigation. The suspects, who face charges of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and illegal possession of firearms, are also linked to the killings of Vereeniging engineer Armand Swart, DJ Vintos, and Don Tindleni. According to national police spokesperson Brigadier Athlenda Mathe, ballistic reports confirm the same AK-47 and three pistols were used in all four murders, carried out in a similar fashion—victims shot in a hail of bullets. Speaking outside court, Mathe emphasized that substantial forensic and supporting evidence connects the suspects to the string of assassinations between 2022 and 2024. All four accused remain in custody as investigations continue into the coordinated execution-style killings.
