VANDERBIJLPARK - The Emfuleni Local Municipality says various Vanderbijlpark residents are currently being affected by a water supply interruption. ELM said in an update at 19:00 last night that consumers supplied from Vanderbijlpark reservoir towers in the CBD, as well as the CE, CW and NW areas are being affected. According to ELM, this is due to a leaking water supply pipeline and flooded pumps at the reservoirs. Technicians have isolated the pipeline and efforts to restore supply are currently underway. Provided that all goes according to plan, ELM expects the water supply to be restored in 24 hours. Affected consumers who still have water are advised to use it sparingly to avoid total shut down. The municipality apologised for the inconvenience.
