Midvaal expresses deep condolences after Pierneef accident claims three young lives

MEYERTON - The Midvaal Local Municipality extended its heartfelt condolences following the tragic passing of three children in a devastating accident. Mayoral spokesperson, Idah Satikhe, said in a statement the accident occurred on Pierneef Boulevard in Meyerton, involving multiple vehicles: two cash-in-transit vehicles, a minibus taxi, and a sedan. Satikhe said in addition to the three fatalities, 10 individuals were injured. Among the injured are employees of the security company SBV and the driver of the sedan. The mayor, Peter Teixiera, said their thoughts and sympathies are with the families who have lost their loved ones in this tragic event. He said they also wish a swift and full recovery for all those injured. The police are actively investigating the cause of the accident, and further details will be released as they become available.
