ORANGE FARM - Residents of Orange Farm in the Vaal Triangle are among those affected by shocking allegations against Alberton lawyer, 34-year-old Nonhle Nothando Nkomonde. The Legal Practice Council has approached the High Court in Pretoria to have her disbarred, accusing her of dishonesty and fraud. Nkomonde allegedly misused over R2-million from a deceased estate to buy eight properties in Soweto and Orange Farm. Additionally, she is accused of fraudulently selling homes without the owners’ knowledge. One victim says she lost her home after Nkomonde sold it for R350,000 but never handed over the money. The Legal Practice Council also revealed that Nkomonde was not a qualified conveyancer and operated without a Fidelity Fund Certificate. The High Court will hear the case on the 20th of May.
