Vanderbijlpark police searching for perpetrators after body found in open field

VANDERBIJLPARK - The Vanderbijlpark SAPS is searching for an unknown number of perpetrators after the body of an African male with multiple stab wounds was found in an open field in Extension 11, Bophelong. Police spokesperson, Sergeant Sabelo Sigcu, said in a statement sent to 90.6 FM News that Vanderbijlpark police members received a message at around 07:45 and found the body when they went to inspect the scene. The deceased was found with multiple stab wounds on his body and he was declared dead at the scene by the paramedics attending the scene. He is alleged to be about 35 years old. Sigcu urged the Bophelong community to come forward with any information that may lead to the arrest of the perpetrators. He also asked anyone who can identify the deceased to come forward, so that the family can even get closure that they deserve.
